What is INFOCUS & why is the community SO excited?
The JD Edwards INFOCUS Conference offers in-depth education into JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and now World in a way that isn’t possible at COLLABORATE, our global conference, due to space limitations. This event is a true deep dive. The community had a very exciting first event and is eager to continue the momentum this year as we take a deeper look into the products and re-invigorate the year long SIG programs. This event promises to do both while complementing the learning and work done at COLLABORATE. Better yet, it’s in Denver – the home of JD Edwards.

Purge, Archive and Upgrades a Case Study from DBG #2013JDE-101020

Description:
Oracle recommends purging your data as part of an upgrade. DBG Canada was in the middle of an upgrade from E1 8.10 to 9.1 when they realized that they were facing an absolute showstopper – the 15 years of data they were carrying would take too long for the data upgrade. Plants would have been shut down for days, resulting in major business disruptions and lost revenues. DBG selected ARCTOOLS as their purge and archive solution. The software was implemented in parallel with the ongoing upgrade project. The archive was successful, and the upgrade was successful and on time. DBG realized many benefits from the archive project beyond just surviving the upgrade. These will be discussed in more detail in the session. Learn from DBG’s experience how important archiving can the success of an upgrade project – regardless of whether or not you have issues such as theirs.
